Problem

Costume rental discovery is often fragmented across social media, chat, and manual inventory records. SewaIN explored a marketplace experience where customers could discover costumes while rental businesses could expose inventory through a more structured product flow.

Contribution

Developed backend API services with Express.js.
Supported a containerized Flask service for machine-learning integration.
Worked on deployment through Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run and Compute Engine contexts.
Contributed to CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
Designed product flows and interactive UI/UX prototypes in Figma.
Coordinated API integration with the Kotlin Android application.

Architecture

Backend and machine-learning responsibilities were separated into deployable services. Docker provided consistent environments, while managed cloud services supported deployment and resource control for the capstone scope.

Learning

SewaIN brought product design, backend contracts, model serving, mobile integration, and cloud operations into one collaborative project. It strengthened my ability to make technical decisions in the context of a cross-discipline team rather than in isolation.
